What the score means
Every check returns a risk score from 0 to 100, built from public data. It describes patterns — it never proves wrongdoing.
- Clean0–19
No meaningful risk signals in the data we checked.
- Low20–44
Minor signals, usually ordinary activity patterns.
- Caution45–69
Notable signals worth a closer look before you transact.
- High Risk70–100
Strong signals. A sanctions match is always 100.
What we check against
Public data only. Every result lists the sources that actually answered for that check.
TRM sanctions
A live sanctions screening by TRM Labs, for all three chains.
Limitation: Best effort: when it doesn't answer, it isn't listed under "Screened against".
Ransomware dataset
Ransomwhere, a crowdsourced list of ransomware payment addresses (CC BY 4.0).
Limitation: Bitcoin only. Historical (last updated October 2024) and may contain errors.
Exchange list
Proof-of-reserves addresses of known exchanges (BitcoinTemporalGraph, CC BY 4.0).
Limitation: Bitcoin only. A small snapshot from early 2025. Most exchange addresses aren't on it.
On-chain activity
Bitcoin: public block explorers (mempool.space, Blockstream). Ethereum: public Ethereum nodes (PublicNode, dRPC, 1RPC) for balance, transactions sent and whether the address is a contract. Tron: public Tron nodes (PublicNode, TronStack, TronGrid) for TRX and USDT balances, activation date and whether the address is a contract.
Ethereum indexer: Blockscout, an open-source Ethereum explorer: total transaction counts and the latest 100 transactions. Volume and timing patterns use only those latest 100 transactions, and ETH moved inside contract calls isn't counted. When Blockscout doesn't answer, the result is marked "Partial coverage".
Tron indexer: TronGrid: the latest 200 transactions and the latest 200 USDT transfers. Volume and timing patterns use only those latest transactions, and USDT is the only token counted. When TronGrid doesn't answer, the result is marked "Partial coverage".
Limitation: Describes patterns, not who owns the address.
